Committies

Residents are permitted and encouraged to participate on AzAFP Committees.  The Legislative Task Force is a committee driven by policy- making and advocacy.  This committee meets under the leadership of the AzAFP lobbyist who advises the committee on Bills relevant to family medicine and the health of the public.  The Education Committee meets to assist with the planning and approval of all CME-related activities provided to members.  The main CME activity is the Annual Clinical Education Conference offered every spring.

In addition to the local committees, the AAFP also offers Resident Leadership opportunities.  For a listing of the many Resident Leadership positions available, please visit the AAFP website.
