Third year resident Megan Hunt won the 2015 Creating Value Challenge at UCSF! This contest featured residents from all over the country and a final “pitch off” sponsored by JAMA Internal Medicine, Costs of Care, the American Resident Project, and the UCSF Center for Healthcare Value.  Megan’s project, Reducing Readmissions Through Transitional Care Management, was a finalist in our own High Value Care contest in May 2015. Congratulations Dr. Hunt! SPORTS MEDICINE: For the past year and a half we started working with local high schools and junior college football teams.  We found there was a great need for sports physicals for their athletes. Working with local trainers and school administrators we have organized over 8 sports physical events, serving over 350 young athletes of various sports. This will be a continued effort of our residency program and is great way to work with and serve our community. WE ARE ALL ABOUT COMMUNITY AND LEADERSHIP: We spent half a day with local high school students to encourage them to pursue a career in medicine. In addition to in-depth discussion of the medical career. Address 2451 S Avenue A, Suite C-101 Yuma AZ, 85364 Website Facebook
